Tea Cup snowman scene
Christmas is getting so close, hope you all are out there having tons of fun. Have another up cycling project for you all and this one involves grandma’s old tea cups from long ago. You can usually find them just about any where.
People aren’t buying china anymore, just isn’t that popular. Some of these teacups have small cracks but that is okay because they can be used for other decor in your homes. I even added a plant to one tea cup I bought.
Before you create your Winter scene you will need your accessories. I made my snowmen using self hardening clay. Just roll three little balls and stack them on top of each other to form the snowmen bodies. I used tiny twigs for arms but you can also use toothpicks as arms.
I added some yarn for a scarf.
Then drew in facial details using a fine tip sharpie pen.
The hats I felted. You can use your clay to make tiny hats too.
Before you add your snow find the perfect tree to add with your little cups.
You can add even more detail by decorating your tiny bottle top trees.
Add faux snow, glitter or salt for snow then add all your accessories.
I saw this craft project many years ago on a Christmas magazine cover. I am just now getting around to actually doing this. You can add just about anything to your cups. You don’t even have to use tea cups if you don’t like, use bowls, garden pots, bottles, what ever you can think of. Happy crafting everyone.
Love this craft! Such a sweet Christmas scene! 💛

Thank you Emily. This one was one of my favorites and the next three coming up were also my favorites since they all are on ornaments. Hope you love those too.

The snowmen are adorable and look so cute in the teacup!
I’ll have you know I picked up a couple of multi-packs of felt today, with 12 different colors in each, so I can start playing. 🙂

Watch those fingers, unless you are hand sewing. Needle felting causes a lot of ouchies (I know I am not spelling that right because that dreaded red line just showed up) when you first start…who am I kidding, they still cause injuries no matter what level you are at. Have lots and lots of fun.

This is so so cute. I made snowmen like this this year with sticks to make them realistic too but re-using an old teacup to make a snow scene is a super cute idea.
