  6. Hope you had a nice and peaceful Thanksgiving!! Ours is always the second Monday in October (a fest to celebrate the harvest). Thanks for your wishes 🙂

I have to admit that 2020 was a hard year (losing Emmy is still the worst for me), but I’ve also learned so much about myself, experienced a level of loneliness in my heart I didn’t think was possible (because of losing Emmy) my way of thinking and feeling compared to the people around me.
Got a bit more clarity of what I need and want to change. But mostly about human nature and how their priorities have changed, their willingness to take a step back to be able to move forward, Their understanding that the lives we live are still full of great things but they solely focus on the bad in life.
That what “makes” us different and valuable (race, gender, etc,) starts to divide us more than bring us together. Politeness and compromising are weaknesses instead of strengths…..and most of us are so ungrateful for what we have and only have rights but no responsibilities anymore.

I’m not saying it was a pleasant year, but I’m glad I got to experience it and really “see” how much I have and I don’t actually need half of it to be happy.

So, honestly….for me, this was a good year! Take care and stay safe and only the best for you and your loved ones 🙂

    1. So beautifully written and so true. Sometimes it is during difficult times we really learn what is important and end up more grateful then ever. You are a very wise old soul, I am sure as a child others could see that in you too. Old souls carry so much wisdom with them. I am looking forward to what the future teaches and brings us all. Also can’t wait to see how that book comes out, Emmy had a lot of love in her and now it is you that is going to share that with the world in her stories. Animals are the kindest creatures out there, no judgements, no hate, they just want someone to love and love back. We could all learn something from our little furry family members.
