Sunday greetings and box of blessings

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you all are well and have a beautiful Sunday morning.

Today’s bible verse from my friend’s box of blessings is…

Behold, I have set before thee an open door and no man can shut it.

                                    Rev. 3:8

God bless you all and have a great week.

    1. My friend up north made them for a group of her friends after her husband came out of his heart surgery well. There were lots of prayers for him. It took her a lot of time to put together all those little blessing boxes buts she wrote she wanted to thank us all in a very special way and it was. They would be perfect for weddings, new births, birthdays, and thank you gifts. You can decorate and make the little gift boxes up really pretty too. It is fun seeing what verse will come unrolled when you pick one from the bundle. My friend used a cut straw to hold the rolled verses together. It was her mother that gave her a blessing box way back in the 60’s I believe.

      1. I am certainly going to borrow this beautiful idea! I suspect, many of the weekly blessings turn out to be exactly what is needed that week…

      2. Oh yes, I love how that always works out. I have the little wooden pick my friend’s husband carved to get the rolls out of the box and I just randomly pick where my heart tells me (God’s inner voice that we all have, what some call the gut feeling) and sure enough whatever I pull out is something not only I have to learn from and what makes me feel better but also who ever reads it that Sunday. Someone out there, even if it only means one person needs to read it too, that is enough.
