So easy and so much fun. Right now my mini gardens are struggling because of the intense heat we have been having here in my state but I know there are many of you out there that can have these miniature gardens displayed out on your porch on a pretty table. Especially places high in humidity.
All you need are glass vases, terra cotta pot bases, pots, bowls, or terrariums.
You can even use small mason jars to create little gardens in. I created a little garden scene in my kid’s old red wagon.
Look for plants that have small leaves and flowers. Moss is really pretty to use.
Add tiny pebbles, miniature furniture and little houses.
Even small toy animals are adorable to add to your mini gardens. You can usually find bags of plastic animals at most grocery stores or dollar stores. I had this tiny ceramic deer from years ago when my husband and I were teenagers and dating before married. We worked at the same mall together. Sometimes on his lunch breaks from the store he worked at, he would stop by to visit me at the toy shop I worked at. He would pick up tiny ceramic animals at the Hallmark store. They used to sell these little animals at that store. There were all kinds of miniature glass animals and so adorable.
These are so much fun to make you guys. I love fresh flowers every now and then in vases but they eventually die, this is a fun way to have a fresh bouquet of plants every day. Kids will love this too, and with summer here this is a fun summer time project to keep the kids busy.
Happy gardening everyone.
