“ Thanksgiving is a time of togetherness and gratitude”
Thanksgiving is a few days away here in my country. I know there are many around the world who are hurt, scared and suffering, wondering what is in the future. It is so important during these times to find those things in our lives that we have so much to be thankful for. This is a fun project to do with the whole family. Something to put our thoughts in a more positive place.
Stay away from the news, social media and the screens if you are here in my country. Not sure what is going on in other countries, but here in America our young are being pushed to watch certain shows in order to teach them a certain way. Thankfully there are parents all over this country that can see this and are taking care of their own children now , keeping a closer eye on their vulnerabilities during these times we are all living through.
We need to talk to our children, become mentors to the young, teach them what is important and to find those moments in every day to be thankful for. Also, just teaching them a skill that you may know will give them so much joy and confidence. Teach the young when ever you can. This craft project down below is a great way to sit down with your family and go through everything that makes you happy.
Mod podge- or water downed school glue.
Acrylic paint- optional
twine or string to hang from.
First step is to go out and collect leaves. Then cover your leaves with Modpodge or water down glue. Once dry, write or paint anything you are thankful for. Tie to a string and hang from the mantel or across a window. Tack them to inspiration boards, turn them into fridge magnets, or leave them around parks or where people walk a lot. Imagine someone walking across one of these pretty little leaves. Think the whole world could use some positive art and love right now.
Have a beautiful Thanksgiving everyone. May only good things always come your way and may God bless you all.
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
