I picked up a pack of ceramic snowmen in October and last night I decided to paint them. They were plain and all white with no decorations on them. I forgot to take a before photo. I found them in a basket when I was decorating the home for Christmas and there they were, three little snowmen in a basket.
I got out paint, glue, twigs from the garden, buttons and fabric scraps. It’s very relaxing to me to decorate for the holidays and Christmas is the perfect time to get out the paints and create away.
The first snowman, I decided to keep more traditional, with a black top hat. Then added colorful buttons and a felt red scarf. And glued twigs for arms to it’s side.
The second snowman I decided to change things up a bit, and painted the top hat red, then added a white snowflake to the top. I added a blue and white checkered scarf and little red pom poms for buttons.
The third snowman which was the smallest of the three, I painted pink, the whole thing. Then I added a bright pink felt scarf and tiny pink pom poms as buttons.
How would you have decorated your snowmen? What color would you have chosen for their top hats. Or, which snowman do you like the best? I like the second snowman the best. I like the contrast of red and blue. Happy crafting everyone.
