I have been trying to catch up on some of my craft projects. One of those projects was a whole bunch of trays I have been collecting on dollar days at the thrift store.

When ever I am out shopping I try to find pretty paper to decoupage things with. I have a couple stores I like getting supplies from.

After I paint my trays I decoupage pretty papers to them. This is such an easy way to update something. Just measure out the size of your tray onto paper or use scraps of many colors and use Mod podge to decoupage the bottom and tops of your paper onto trays.

Not sure where my trays will go for now. I think I will put the large one on one of our coffee tables for books and the others will go on the french door table for art supplies in pretty containers..

Do any of you collect trays? If so, do you re-do them? Wrapping paper is another really pretty way to decorate and decoupage shelves and trays. Happy crafting everyone.

I must admit I have loads of trays. They’re so useful.

They are perfect for organizing, art projects, and pretty food servings. So much we can do with them.

Mine are never used for art or craft projects. Unlike you, these are not my forte.

I love this. What a great idea. I love all trays. Most of the ones I have are the old platter style. I even have one with legs on it. I will keep my eye out now for some of these to decoupage.

Thank you, there are always wooden tray everywhere at Goodwill here in Arizona. Sometimes there are piles of them. I don’t know where they are all coming from.

I don’t collect trays but now I want to.

They make it easy to organize. You can stack books on them, art supplies, puzzles and craft projects. The thrift shops are always full of them and they can be redone to look pretty again if they are beat up looking or outdated.
