September is my least favorite month to be out in the garden. Our temps are usually very hot during August and September, all through the day and all through the night. This summer and the beginning of Fall haven’t been so bad which surprises me. It is actually really nice right now out there, we still have some hot days in between nicer days. October is the month everyone in Phoenix looks forward to.
Anyway, enough of the weather, I thought I share with you all a little project I did awhile back. We have this big tree that hangs over our pool and sometimes I will be out there and look up in the branches above me watching the little birds that hang out up in it. Right now there is a family of doves with three baby doves that hang up in the tree. The twins have grown now and now the little triplets are our newest visitors to fly down and eat the seeds I leave out for them. I also have a tiny sparrow that was hopping around by the pool, acting a little shy to nibble on some seeds. Look liked she had just started using her little wings too…another baby, so cute.
While I was out shopping, I picked up a little wooden kit from Dollartree and glued it together one day while stuck inside.
Then I painted it white.
Added some little embellishments to it.
And tied a string to hang from.
Last was the tiny bird seed.
Then hung it in that big beautiful tree.
It looks nice hanging up there, I hope the little birds stop by for a visit.
The perfect stuck inside project to work on. Happy gardening everyone.
