Supplies needed:
Old wooden blocks
Assorted paints- spray paint, chalk paint, paint pens, or acrylics.
Small wooden rectangles (for doors and windows)
Assorted fabrics
Decoupage glue- Mod Podge or watered down school glue
paint brush or sponge brush
First you have to find a bag of old wooden blocks. They are usually at yard sales, flea markets, rummage sales, estate sales, church sales…you know, all those second hand places to shop. I picked up my giant bag on one of those dollar days in the grab bag sections in the toy area at Goodwill.

Then clean your blocks. I like using dish soap because it cleans any grease off. I also disinfect items with a cotton ball of alcohol to wipe blocks down. Spraying down items and cleaning with some white vinegar works too.

After your blocks are clean and dry you can start painting. I used a primer spray paint that works on plastic and wood products.

Once your blocks are painted you can decoupage fabric or pretty paper to them.
Add doors or windows for more details.
Just a fun way to change things up a bit.
