Shopping adventures…a visit to an antique store.

This store was packed. Sometimes I feel a little claustrophobic when stores are jammed packed with items but this one was just so fun seeing inside of it, like a museum. I went in to look for some vintage lace for a children’s craft class that is coming up. They have a sewing section in this store, it reminds me of being a kid and going down to the drug store to pick up felt to sew up little dolls and toys.

I’m still doing that it looks like, except now I’m teaching others how to fish themselves as they say. Anyway, I thought I share some photos with you all on that, it’s been awhile since I have done a shopping adventure post.

This little kitchen set was so cute. It reminds me of my Grandma’s items in her old china cabinet.
I love the old wind up toys, no batteries necessary. This one was a little pricey though at $75.
I still look through old kitchen items. I have a collection of wooden spoons and I use them too.
I thought these rose glasses were so pretty and dainty. They would look pretty on a garden table display.
There was so much detail to this miniature version of an old stove, it was so cool. Back in the day this would have been a great accessory in a Barbie dream cabin.
I imagine this in an English or Irish pub, up on a shelf next to a dart game.
The doll with the big round eyes has such a cute expression of curiosity. She would be cute for a Valentine’s display. They were priced at $35 and up. A little too pricey for me. I think the dainty crochet mint green dress on the little jointed doll is also adorable.
I love looking through vintage books.
I think my grandmother had these old mugs in her kitchen at one time.
I did not brave the stairs this time, last time it was so packed upstairs and the old floor creaked like crazy. I was afraid I was going to fall through or something. Sometimes that happens in those old buildings. But how fun to explore them.
Yep…upstairs looks jammed packed…I’m not going up there.
So many country items, and rustic decor. I like the chickens. I see one of those Italian black panthers….is that what that is?
This store had several sections where people rent out a space and bring their items in to sell.
I think blue and white look pretty together. It wouldn’t match my home and I already have enough collections.
Such a cute little dog.
What a pretty little butter dish.
They make these into candles. I have seen these tea cups made into planters and pincushions.
so many old toys, do you see any from your childhood?
So cute.
I collect old toys, I like this one. It’s a wooden balancing toy.
This is what I bought. I am adding it to my mushroom ceramics and I will be adding a tiny succulent to it. It was $3.
Little glass bottles make perfect tiny vases.
So much jewelry.
I loved this print, so pretty.
we found one of these in our historic home.
Are chickens always trending? I’ve been seeing so many everywhere.
What a pretty plate. I like the color. I wouldn’t use it though, except as art, nit food. I would have this hanging up.
My husband found a thermos for $10 in this booth. It was huge and reminded me of the thermos my dad used to have that he took to work with him.

That’s it. Happy shopping adventures everyone. Stay safe out there and God bless you all.
