After a hard week of too many projects, we have been feeling a little beat again, so tired. Enough already I think to myself, is there ever an end to all these beginnings. Again…how many times am I bringing up this subject, in which I think we may have put too much on our plates. That’s how I start my blogs nowadays…just too much right now. Not that we planned it out this way.
Sadly there is a shortage it seems of help, of good help at that as well. And with the prices of food and everything else going up, this has become a bit of a bigger challenge. Like the hardest chess game I have ever played in my life, and you guys…I don’t know how to play chess. Just faking it until making it as they say…but in a good way, an honest way. I try the best I can with that.

That’s the hard part. So many short cuts in life that we could choose to take, but those are the mistakes we make sometimes and end up paying for it some how in the end.
Stay as humble, honest and grateful in everything you do in life, in every day..and sprinkle that with some patience and there you go…a good recipe to life.

Even our cats act worn out, probably watching us everyday with everything we are trying to accomplish and probably thinking to themselves…

“What’s the deal with you people…take a nap for goodness sakes, just lay down already…you are wearing us out by just watching you all”.

So…we took another break, a Saturday break, and being that people here celebrate Seasons, there are Fall festivals everywhere right now. Too many to choose from. I check the community sites and there is so much to do out there right now.

There was an apple festival somewhere around the area, a bike race, crafts sales, a huge Fall outdoor market with baby chickens and all kinds of fresh produce with antiques…and an outdoor auction as well.

There was also a big family Fall event in another town that looked really nice. The Bikers were everywhere for another huge biker event in another city but first there was a beautiful curvy road trip through the beautiful Ozark woods on their motorcycles.
It was hard to choose which events to attend. I really wanted to try the apple festival but they said by Saturday most apples were sold out.
We choose a small town, small business event. Local people sell their hand made goods. That’s the one we went to.

The town was decorated up like scenes from Gilmore girls and everything smelled of fresh baked pumpkin treats.

They even had a Fall scene staged for families to take photos at. They keep that up for the whole month of October.

Pumpkins all around town like a Hallmark movie.

We stopped off at a couple little farm stores to explore, that was fun.

Then we headed to another state to check out what they call Flea markets. I always thought flea markets were all outside events…not here.

My shopping haul consisted of tiny beaded bracelets that I will be adding to my Christmas cards this year, a small ornament, the wooden 70’s ornaments I collect, an old wooden box, a thread organizer, an old art book with black and white prints, a button and some garden picks from the children’s market (young entrepreneurs) and a two year old country Christmas magazine.

I didn’t buy any Fall decor since I will be making my own this year with supplies I have on hand at home. I never really did the scary Halloween thing anyway…so I will be decorating the first of November. Christmas will be my biggest decorating event and I can’t wait for that. This year I am going to try and make little Christmas cakes for the friends.

I almost bought some postcards, they were really colorful and whimsical. Sometimes I will frame old magazine pages and postcards to hang on walls in rooms I’m decorating. There are so many creative ways to create art for your homes.Even shadow boxes with sentimental items inside make fun art pieces.

It was another beautiful Saturday road adventure. Fall is a very popular season here we have discovered. Happy Fall adventures everyone.

Prayer updates-more prayers have been answered…thank you to everyone who prayed for the capture of the alleged suspect who took the innocent lives of two beautiful souls. Two teenagers camping, young adults at the start of their lives in Arizona. They have arrested a suspect and he is in custody now. Keep praying, there are still others out there and this is a month of big prayers for many. Remember God is with you always. Stay safe and God bless and protect you all.
Psalm 121:7-8
The Lord will keep you from all harm-he will watch over your life; The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

And another prayer was answered with Erin Bates. I have been following this family since they were little, such a beautiful family. Erin had her husband just had their 7th child and there were some complications after his birth. Erin got very sick and they were worried of loosing her from an infection, she also had a seizure when her kidneys were shutting down, she lost the use of her leg after the seizure… and now a miracle is happening…she is starting to move her leg and starting to walk again. Thank you God, so many prayers are being answered everywhere…remember that. Please keep praying for Erin through her recovery.
During this month of October remember extra prayers are always needed. Wake up every morning with gratitude for every gift from God, remember to be thankful in every day. It’s all part of the praying for the month of October.
