The leaves are leaving the little lake.

There is a cold front headed our way so I walked down to the little lake to take a walk around all those colorful leaves that are still hanging in there before they’re all gone.

When I opened all our curtains to let sunshine in early one morning, there was a fog that rolled in. So my husband and I waited awhile before we went for our daily walk. There is a crispness in the air, this is sweater weather. By the afternoon the sun was out and all that fog had disappeared.

The leaves are so pretty, their colors are so striking. I love walking around out there in the woods seeing all those tiny details in the leaves. I haven’t had anytime to create any art lately. I see so many designs and ideas on these walks. I want to go straight home and start drawing and creating but again, how many times do I write about how far behind we are on everything.

I think it’s because we are not used to shorter days, They change the time where we live now. Why? I remember asking someone here…what the heck is that about? People here are starting to understand our Arizona sass, we just say whatever comes to our minds. Anyway, this time change thing makes the days even shorter than they already are. Maybe when Winter really sets in, that’s when I will have some time to sit down and draw and create away.

Everything is really brown and gray right now on these bright orange leaves are really standing out on our walks. Tiny pops of bright colors.Since the leaves are dropping everywhere, now you can see the lake through the trees.

I’m still a little unsettled walking out by the woods by the lake. I thought I would get over that by now but it seems I’m being extra cautious more then I was before. I don’t like that feeling. I want to walk freely like I did before, so hopefully that will come back, but I don’t believe so. So much has changed in the world. For now, it seems God is letting me know to remain cautious, always remain cautious. I really don’t know what that all is about, but it’s there and I can still feel it unfortunately.

I have other places I like to walk where I’m not feeling that way, so it seems my lake visits won’t be as often like before when I would share those walking adventures with you all, I’ll just keep going to those other places.

I can watch the geese and ducks for hours, they’re entertaining to me.

I didn’t take a lot of photos, I was mostly just enjoying my time outdoors, getting some fresh vitamin D and fresh air. Those little things out there in the world are always the best, aren’t they? I think so.

This is the Little lake in November everyone…

I almost lost my balance and fell in taking this shot. I’ll name this photo…Splish Splash.
An itty bitty spider web was hanging out with this leaf. I’ll name this one….A perfect neighbor.
I love the contrasting colors of the sky and the leaves together. I’ll name this one…The shadow.
I will call this one …The social gathering.
So weird looking up and no longer seeing leaves on these branches. I do love being able to see all those twigs and branches intertwined together.
Photo title-Into the light.
I’ll name this one…Bare
The bench in the back ground is great place to read a book.
All the leaves are leaving.

Once back home little Pippi was waiting for me in the laundry room probably wondering where I go when I leave the house. I still believe she has half possum in her, she sure acts like a wild possum some days. She is getting better with the biting part, not doing it as much. When she acts that way, I look at her and always wonder….

“What was your mamma up to, was she hanging around those bad boy possums?”

My daughter believes her cat is half raccoon and otter. Of course we aren’t serious. We just have fun with their crazy personalities.

Pippi is such a sweet birthday gift. Happy walking adventures everyone. Stay safe and God bless you all.
