This Christmas we are taking small breaks to get out in the community and support local and just interact with others face to face. I have shared my favorite antique store with you all before and now that it’s Christmas season I thought I share with you some photos I took of what’s new in the shop.
My favorite wall is the toy wall, it is always changing with different toys throughout the year. Here is what it looks like now. I think it would be fun next year to take a photo of this booth every month to see the changes side by side through the years. Maybe I will start that in January.

I don’t recognize this toy from the past. I wonder what year it’s from. I think this would look so cute in an old west themed room or a baby room.

There were lots of Santa’s everywhere. I’m more of a snowman person. I do like those tiny gnomes though, so cute.

These elf salt and pepper shakers would look so cute in a gift basket. Fill the basket with Kitchen supplies and add something old to the basket,

There were all kinds of snowmen decor. I especially liked the two that went together, so adorable. They would look so cute next to some Christmas pillows on a bed or couch. They even had some gingerbread men.

There were some other items I remember from my childhood. My grandma had angel dolls in her Christmas decor every year, some were like this little doll in photo below. I remember peppermint beanie bears too. And my Italian mother in law had her tree full of little Italian figurines like this ornament of a little girl in a hat.

I ended up buying three tiny bottle top trees. I’m not sure what I will do with them as of now. I want to make some Winter Terrariums, maybe I will use them in that. I also picked up some wooden ornaments and a tiny gnome for my indoor garden plants.

I heard the 1990’s Christmas decor is coming back in style, and that people are tired of everything being so plain with no colors any more. In the stores it’s very hard to find colorful Christmas lights and when I check the second hand shops all the color lights are gone as well.
“Where are all the colorful decorations?” I asked one day while out shopping.
My daughter told me they are trending right now, so everyone is buying them up at the thrift shops.
People are tired of being forced in a way to buy drab depressing colors in their items. I have noticed these past years that colors are slowing disappearing in the products in the stores and everywhere else. Like whoever is in charge of our merchandising is sending us the ugly stuff on purpose, to make us all feel depressed. Anyway, I love this antique store, so fun to visit, Happy antique shopping everyone.

I wish some of those vintage pieces could talk and tell us where they had made spirits bright before being in an antique shop!

That is so true, the story they would tell too. You know they would be interesting tales.
