
Just a list of fun activities to do with anyone on the Autism spectrum. There are so many activities you can do during this season to help with fine motor skills, gross motor, socializing, speech and just being creative.
Make clay together and use cookie cutters to make ornaments.
Cook a meal together
Go to a favorite bookstore or library and pick out holiday books to read.
Start an art club and invite people over to create together.
Go walking out in nature collecting pine cones to make into gifts to give out.
Cut strips of paper scraps and make paper chains.
Draw pictures and sign cards to mail out, go to the post office together, pick out holiday stamps and use this as a learning opportunity to follow one and two step directions with how to mail a letter.
Pick out a holiday movie to watch together, make homemade popcorn and add fun flavors to taste test like cinnamon, cheesy popcorn and caramel corn.
Pack some hot cocoa and marshmallows and go fro a walk around your neighborhood looking at Christmas lights,
Find a Christmas event in your area and support local businesses.
Have a Christmas puppet show, make your own puppets and create and play out Christmas stories.
Visit a local animal shelter and drop off food, toys and old towels and blankets for the animals. Play Santa for our furry friends.
Make peanut butter bird seed ornaments to hang outside in your trees and around the parks for the Winter birds.
Make and give out Christmas cards to the senior centers.
Drop off cookies and treats to first responders and your favorite medical centers. You will have to use store bought cookies though.
