I went to my very first parade in person. I have seen them on television many times but I have never seen what it’s like to stand around and watch as decorated floats and vehicles come slowly down a street. I have to say it was pretty cool.

Whoops, I just remembered I have been to a parade before, in a little town where we had Our Little Red House. It was a daytime parade though and it wasn’t Christmas either. So this is my first Christmas parade.

I made a list of things I wanted to do this Christmas and going to a parade was on that list.

There were so many people out. We ran into some new friends we met here. Kids were running around and playing with each other. Some people showed up in their pajamas, Christmas pajamas. There were funnel cake stands with long lines and a couple of church groups were handing out free water and cocoa to everyone.

I can’t believe I have never been to one before, they are actually really nice. I will definitely be back next year for that one too.
