When this is posted it will actually be day 4 , and this post will be my last storm update post. I wanted to share with everyone what a Winter storm looks like. I should have taken some photos of the piles and piles of dirty snow being made into tiny little snow mountains all around town, that looks kind of cool and kind of not so cool.
I bundled up, layered up, and off I went with my camera to see what there was to see.

The snow is melting more each day. Looking out my french doors the afternoon of my walk, my little snowman no longer has his head, the little cap lays next to it as it’s buttons slowly fall off. It is melting away from top to bottom. I’m thinking of Frosty the snowman right now…does anyone remember that old movie/ I believe every generation knows Frosty, he has been around for many decades.

So…this is what I saw on today’s walk and again, it is beautiful out there. I am so blessed to be able to see so much beauty in my life, there is a lot out there you guys, every day God has something pretty to show us, and share with us, so that we share it with others as well.

Sometimes I will do before and after shots. I took one of the swimming hole area the day before the storm and I couldn’t really get down close enough to recreate the photo as close as I could because the snow hid where the ledge was and being as it was very slippery and ice everywhere, I didn’t take that chance.

I also went down to the Little Lake, but I didn’t take photos. Our truck almost got stuck, that is an area that doesn’t get grated. At least it wasn’t when we were there. We didn’t stay long at the Little Lake, it was starting to get too cold and the lake area involves a lot more walking and a larger area that includes walking into the woods. The temperature was dropping. I didn’t get out to explore because of the temperature changing and because our truck almost got stuck. We have really good tires we invested in that are for the rough roads and snow conditions because of our travels up in the northern parts of Arizona when we had Our Little red house cabin. The little lake will have to wait another day.
Thank you for sharing “what a Winter storm looks like.” So beautiful, yes, and the happy dog is adorable. 😊

Beautiful photos there with the snow and sun casting through the trees. And I love that one with the icicles.
