” Why did it take so long to see the light?”
This early morning walk was taken after a late night of intense storms, rain and wind, thunder and lightning. I went to sleep with the windows open, and woke up to tornado alarms going off all around us. Our curtains were blowing away from our open windows like crazy.

I jumped up out of bed to get hiking shoes on and got dressed for outside weather. When tornadoes come in you should always be dressed and have good shoes on . I closed the windows and we got into our safe spot to wait it out. The alarms finally stopped and finally we could safely go back to bed, it was after midnight by that time .

Well, let me tell you….try going to sleep after that, it’s not easy. I stayed up awhile and watched some lady make a flag frame, or something like that and finally fell asleep in the middle of it all.
The next morning, pretty early in fact, my husband asked if I wanted to go for a walk and of course I said yes…even half asleep I love going out in the woods walking by a creek after a big storm. Everything smells fresh and the water at the creek is really high. Of course being half asleep made me feel like we were still in dream state but eventually that cold crisp air woke us up.
We went to the lake too. So I will post photos here of all of that. Being as it is no longer Winter, I don’t have much time to blog or even visit blogs as much lately. So mostly what you all have been getting here on this site when anyone stops by for a visit are nature photos and my little emotional world rants sometimes. The world out there is no longer the same, sometimes I need to write about that. My husband once told me he asked God for an exciting life, not a boring one, and oh boy did God ever bless my husband with that.
And now here we are , they call us transplants in this time in history. American refugees in our own country. Just trying to find our new home away from home. Hope you all enjoy this walk as well, I try to take the photos as if you are there walking up on the scene as well…here they are, enjoy….

There you go…a beautiful walk after a big ol storm. Stay safe out there everyone and God bless you and yours always.
