Back into the woods.

I am taking a big summer break right now. Mostly going on walking and photo adventures here in the Ozarks and working on all my “Projects”. It’s perfect weather here, so beautiful and everything smells so fresh, and clean. The flowers are in full bloom right now. April showers brought lots of May flowers for sure.

There is so much out there right now. The storms were mostly just very loud thunder and flashes of lightening, with rain of course, at least they bring a lot of growth. There is so much life out there as you are about to see through these photos.

Look closely, there is a tiny red cardinal on a branch deep in these woods. Red cardinals are everywhere here.

I came across a few turtles…a very angry snappy and hissing one crossing a street, a little cute one in the middle of the woods trying to get to a creek below, and a couple having a bit of a fight in the middle of it all. Then I watched as a family of Armadillos, foraged away. Crossing one path we came across a giant worm. There were too many beautiful birds to count , large and small in red and yellow colors, and a little cocoon in the middle of the woods hidden so well between many leaves. Oh and lots and lots of mushrooms.

On this walk I left some painted rocks I made up from rocks I picked up previously. Little houses, woodland critters and tiny tomte’s for anyone walking to pick one up and add some whimsical to their own gardens.

Happy walking adventures everyone. God bless you all and keep you all safe.

There was another storm coming, at least this is what the news said, so we were only able to do 3 miles. I didn’t want to explore too far into the woods, otherwise we would have to find a cave. There are lots of giant caves around here too.
